*1 lb ground pork, chicken or turkey
*1 sweet yellow onion, peeled and diced small
*1 tablespoon rice vinegar
*3 teaspoons fresh garlic, minced
*3 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated
*1/4 cup tamari or soy sauce
*1 cup carrots, grated
*half a green cabbage, shredded or sliced thin
*half a red cabbage, shredded or sliced thin
*3 green onions, sliced thin
*1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
Heat a large skillet. Add meat and cook thoroughly. Drain and return to skillet. Add the onion, rice vinegar and sesame oil to the skillet and cook until onions are tender. Add fresh garlic, ginger, soy, hoisin and your cabbages and carrots. Stir and cook until cabbage is wilted.
Remove from skillet. Stir in green onions and salt and pepper to taste!
