1. My favorite Hole in the Wall For Israeli Food
My favorite pita guy and master baker, Eli Kikov has opened up shop in Chamblee and I promise it's worth the drive. Eli and his fabulous wife, Galia, have installed themselves into a tiny storefront selling their hard to get breads. And they will fill that fluffy pita with house made hummus, babaganoush, falafel and other yummies. This is a hole in the wall, the best kind of place to eat, true Israeli specialties. Last time I visited, I watched a young man chow down on a giant sesame loaf filled with everything Eli offers! And the chocolate Babka? It's like butta! Be sure and stop at my other Chamblee favorite, Zen Tea, on your trip back! |
